NOTE:
Before trolling the net and leaving your Comments on every blog you find read this excerpt from Grizzly's post on how to get .edu and .gov comments which gives great tips for how to leave comments that will give you good backlinks.

Please add your blogs that accept comments in the Comments section and I'll add them to this post. Note: we don't want blogs that require you to register, only ones that allow you to Comment without registering.

  1. Tip: I used the following string to search Google for blogs that allow comments without registering that are on the topic of "pets". You can modify the portion in parenthesis to fit your topic.

    * inurl:(dog|cat|pet) “no comments” +blogroll -”posting closed” -”you must be logged in” -”comments are closed”

  2. Now I've found that using the string above to search for blogs that allow dofollow comments yields blogs that while they ask for your URL they don't link to it. I even searched the page source for some of these pages and sure enough the URL I had entered for my comment was not in the page source.
